Needs Mentors at the SSIHC
Would you like to volunteer a few hours a month and have a direct and lasting impact in the life of a formerly homeless family? The Silver Spring Interfaith Housing Coalition is urgently seeking congregation members to join mentoring teams to support low-income families in becoming more stable. Mentors can help a family to achieve its goals by providing transportation, child care, fun outings, and a listening ear. No experience is necessary -- just a caring heart and willingness to be flexible in helping others.
